I really liked the amount of sourced work we used throughout project three. The idea behind this project was to connect our thought to one of the professional authors we have studied so far this semester, as well as two of our classmates. We made sure that we worked with at least two authors in the same paragraph at least twice in this essay. Personally, I set my body paragraphs up so that body paragraph 1 worked with student 1 and student 2, body paragraph 2 worked with student 1 and Sherry Turkle, then my body paragraph 3 went between Turkle and student 2. I often take pride in the quotes that I use in my works, I feel as though they often support what I am talking about well. I integrate my quotations well, often placing them in the center or end of a sentence so that they have a solid introduction. One of the quotes I feel I chose, integrated, and summed up well in my project three was in my second body paragraph.

“Sherry Turkle also sees the decline in social awareness in young children who have grown up attached to technology. To Turkle and some teachers she has met with, ‘it is a struggle to get children to talk to each other in class, to directly address each other. It is a struggle to get them to meet with faculty…they sit in the dining hall and look at their phones…[and] seem to understand each other less and less’ (345). Children are using technology to a degree where it is becoming detrimental to their social abilities.”

This quote I took from Turkle gave a very clear picture of some of the problems adults are seeing with children in the education system. It works well for this paragraph because I am working with how kids are affected by technology. I use the sentence before the one with the quote in it to set it up, bringing Turkle into the conversation. Once the quote has been closed, I give a brief overview of what Turkle and I are talking about here. My quote choices, integration, and explanation have developed over the course of this semester. There are absolutely places here where I am happier with the quote I chose and how I worked with it compared to the beginning of the semester.
